Very much akin to how the series version of "Watchmen" was treated. There is also some embedding of social issues prevalent in the real world today – but the extent of how much those are highlighted v/s the core essence of the original story-line in the comics is ponder worthy and possibly dependent on individual perspective. There are some logical take outs and problems that have to be dealt with. One of the upsides of this series is the continuity – the collateral outcomes of "Endgame", the great blip and its reversal. But in between those pockets we have puzzling long drawn stretches of story that are mostly out of loop and whose presence is mystifying.Ĭaptain America's wing-men pick up from right after the events of "Avengers: Endgame" – at this point it becomes pertinent for me to mention that one has to be aware or needs to have seen all the previous "Avengers" – particularly those featuring Steve Rogers/Captain America, to follow this story. "The Falcon and The Winter Soldier" delivers in pockets, and it does with some great combat and chase sequences that are visually well-choreographed. While "WandaVision" was bewildering for a deep three to four episodes in to the season, it eventually opened up to some creative thought, although delirious. It goes without saying, my expectations out of this spin-off series were way, way higher than what I have seen.
